TR will issue you a competitive quote that
includes the carrier's rate and our service fee. When you
award TR the freight movement, the quote will be your
confirmation, which you can use as an audit against the TR
invoice. The contingent cargo insurance up to $100,000 is
standard and included in our quote. Additional insurance is
available for purchase.
The bill of lading can now be filled out.
Transportation Resources is to be listed as 'Broker of
Record.' Be sure to specify the exact contents of the
shipment and its specifications, which are essential to your
insurance protection. A copy of the bill of lading will be
used by the driver as a delivery receipt and will be
forwarded to TR for verification of delivery.
TR will invoice you, the shipper, at the
quoted rate. Generally, TR pays the carrier before the
shipper is invoiced and our invoice terms are net 7 days. In
the rare event of damage to a shipment, claims must be
properly filed with the carrier. We strongly suggest the
filing of claims within 90 days. TR can provide assistance in
filing such claims. Such claims cannot be used as a setoff
against a TR invoice, which must be paid according to its
terms of net 7 days.
